The government has introduced apprenticeship reforms as a result of the UK's vision to improve the quality and give employers more control. The new apprenticeship standards will be designed by employers, based around the jobs people do and will last a minimum of 12 months.
The reforms bring about changes to the apprenticeship funding as well as the overall apprenticeship system including:
- Introduction of Apprenticeship Levy for employers with a pay bill above £3 million
- Funding rules and methodology.
They come into effect in April 2017 and have been developed for three sizes of businesses. Click below to find out more.
