The course is made up of the following units:

  • Processing Bookkeeping Transactions
  • Control Accounts, Journals and the Banking Systems
  • Basic Costing
  • Computerised Accounting
  • Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance
  • Entry requirements

    No entry requirements are required but you must have an interest in Accounting.
    Interview required and you may be asked to take an entrance exam.

  • Who is the course for?

    Students who wish to gain a professional qualification and are aiming to be employed in an accounting or financial environment.

  • Study methods

    The aim is to provide a good theoretical understanding of bookkeeping and accounts, and to reinforce learning with simulated workplace assignments. In addition to College attendance, students must be prepared to commit to at least five hours study time per week.

    There is a computer based exam for each of the 5 units.
