Business topics include:

  • Finding a business in your local area
  • Branding a product
  • Recording income and expenditure
  • Communicating with customers and
  • Presenting a business idea.

    You will also undertake units in personal development such as being organised, developing a personal progression plan and researching a topic. Alongside this, you will be completing an Enterprise Project which focuses on sustainability
  • Entry requirements

    A minimum of 3 grade 2's at GCSEs or a ESOL Entry 3 certificate. You will have a College interview and references may be taken up.

    This course is for those wishing to develop skills to start a career in the business sector.

    Full-time attendance with lectures, group work, assignments, presentations and workshops.

  • How is the course assessed?

    Assessment is 100% course work. This may include assignments, class tests, reports, role play and presentations. The English and Mathematics elements are examination based.

    This course is particularly suitable for learners with special educational needs/mental health needs due to the expertise of the teaching team. This course is also a suitable programme for those learners who have recently been home schooled and are looking for a return to education.
