Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Engineering - Electrical & Electronics Part-Time (Top up)

Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) .

This two-year course is suitable for young, mature adults seeing to reskill / upskill in the engineering sector.

This course will run one day a week. Mixture of theory by lectures/teaching (70%), practical demonstrations/workshops (25%), tutorials/virtual learning environments (2%), guest speakers and field trips (3%) with 7.5 contact hours per week over 32 weeks during academic year. Student are expected to complete approximately 90 hours per unit for each 15 credit unit of independent study (i.e. on research and completing assignments) and unsupervised form of learning (e.g. e-learning, e-assessment, coursework, work-based learning, etc.).

Assessment is through a series of time-constrained written assignments which involve design projects, practical, simulation, posters, logbooks and presentations.

  For students to be eligible for funding from Student Finance England, they must be studying on an eligible course at a provider registered with the Office for Students (OfS). Home student fee: £4,395

The fees quoted are for one year of study and include tuition, exam fee, materials, ID card (which gives access to the college and facilities e.g. library) and college registration.

Whether you pay a 'home' or 'overseas' fee depends on whether you meet certain criteria. Uxbridge College does not create the criteria for fee status. The fee status criteria is provided in regulations and guidance, published by the government.
