Students on this course will learn about:
- Sowing and Growing Plants
- Soil Types and Garden Habitats
- Planting in a Container
- Garden Horticulture
- Environmental Issues and Sustainability
- Undertaking a Social Enterprise Project in Horticulture and Sustainability.
They will use our on site facilities such as polytunnel gardens and green spaces to develop and apply their skills.

Entry requirements
This course is suitable for students who have successfully completed an entry 2 programme of study or above.

Who is the course for?
Students aged 16-24 with an EHC plan and who are at a point in their education journey where they are ready to progress to an employability course with a view to eventually go onto a Supported Internship.

Study methods
Students will have both classroom and hands on experience in our polytunnel, King's Trust garden and in out of college work experience placements.

This course is assessed by a portfolio of evidence.

Students attend a minimum of four days a week, including access to some supervised external work experience.
Some of the employers we work with are the Iver Environment Centre. -
Where Next – Further Studies
Students could progress on to complete a Level 1 in Employability Skills, a Supported Internship or other suitable routes as discussed and agreed with them and their next of kin.
