DESCRIPTION:Uxbridge College is excited to deliver its Basketball Academy f
 or 16-19 year olds with the Thames Valley Cavaliers.\nWe provide talented 
 young sports people with the opportunity to develop their prospects of a c
 areer in basketball while continuing with their education.\nTraining sessi
 ons are usually held on Mondays and Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm\, with match
 es on Wednesday afternoons.\nThe programme will provide the most up to dat
 e\, comprehensive and high quality training for 16-19 year old students wi
 shing to break into the basketball industry. Study and qualifications gain
 ed can also lead to opportunities in the following fields:\n\nProfessional
  sports person\nCoaching\nSports Therapy\nFitness Industry\nLeisure Manage
 ment\nTeaching\nHigher Education\nOverseas Scholarships.\n\nOur Basketball
  Academy provides you with a programme of basketball training while you wo
 rk on a full-time course of academic study.\nHighlights from previous year
 s include:\n\nOutdoor adventure activities including high ropes\, caving a
 nd wall climbing\nSports Psychology talk by Mr Adam Morris (Director of co
 m)\nCareer sessions with guest speakers from UCAS\nWembley Stadium open da
 ys including match tickets\nInspirational guest speakers\nEmployment suppo
 rt\nWork experience sessions and an insight into working life\nSky Academy
  Careers Lab including tours of Sky Studios - Sky's state of the art produ
 ction facility.\n\nRegister for a trial:\nThursday 12th September 2024\, 5

 ege Campus\, 0 Park Rd\, Uxbridge UB8 1NQ\nTo be eligible for the tryouts 
 you must be between the ages of 16-19 years old and enrolled on any full-t
