After moving from Russia to the UK, Anastasiia strived for success at Uxbridge College, studying the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business (Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management).
Standout moments
Some standout moments from Anastasiia's time studying at Uxbridge College include being invited to the Downing Street Festive Fair and being elected as a UKCISA ambassador, representing the interests of international students from across the UK.
Alongside her academic success, Anastasiia also enjoyed the extracurricular trips Uxbridge College offered, including visits to the UK Parliament and Windsor Castle.
As an international student, Anastasiia felt these experiences helped her learn about Britain’s history, culture and the legal system, allowing her to feel safe and comfortable in what could have been a daunting move to a new country.
Engaging environments
Crediting her studies at Uxbridge College for the foundation of much of her success, Anastasiia praised her tutors for their supportive natures and for creating engaging environments to learn and grow. With modules designed to replicate real-life challenges faced in the industry, the HND Business course at Uxbridge College prepared her well for the demands of her final year at the University of Greenwich.
Whilst balancing study, volunteering and leadership commitments, Anastasiia ultimately graduated with First-Class Honours in International Business.

As a recent graduate, Anastasiia’s ambition is as clear as ever.
Following her studies, she recently founded a volunteer-led organisation, dedicated to making career prospects more accessible to emerging talent from diverse backgrounds.
Looking ahead, Anastasiia hopes to build a career in public policy and international development, contributing to solutions for complex social challenges.
For any prospective students beginning their academic journey, Anastasiia’s advice is as follows:
“Do not underestimate the value of a solid college foundation; it can shape your future in ways you cannot yet imagine. When I started, my goals were modest, but now I aim much higher. Before you can achieve something, you must first envision it, and college is the perfect place to begin doing so. Knowledge is a long-term investment, so celebrate every bit of progress — no matter how small.”
