Praxis Performing Arts provides a dynamic environment for students to hone their skills.
Part of Uxbridge College and based at the Hayes Campus we have been offering courses for over 30 years. We offer students UAL Qualifications in Acting, Dance and Music for a wide range of starting abilities - all taught by industry professionals.
We have a superb record of achievement and progression teaching UAL Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 qualifications in Acting, Dance and Music.
We welcome visits from prospective students on open days so you can meet our industry professional staff and fantastic facilities. At Praxis Performing Arts, we know what it takes to enhance our students’ education.

Ray Griffin - Section Manager and Music Lecturer
- Specialism - Double and Electric Bass
- Lecturer at Uxbridge College since 2007
- Masters in Music Psychology and he has extensive knowledge of the music industry as a performer
Ray uses a humble approach within his teaching, allowing student's creativity to develop holistically while ensuring high standards and professionalism throughout the department. -
Anna Hosgood - Course Team Leader and Level 3 & 4 Lecturer in Acting
- Specialism - Theatre Directing
- Lecturer at Uxbridge College since 2009
- Following her training as a triple threat, Anna has worked as a Performer, Director, and Theatrical Agent. Her connections with Casting Directors, Industry Professionals and her continuous work with professional actors keeps her up to date with current practices.
Anna loves working and directing young people. Her passion for the Arts will never wane, and she believes that her knowledge of the industry will help students gain their full potential and understanding of industry expectations. -
Rob Lane - Advanced Practitioner and Lecturer in Acting Level 3 & 4
- Specialism - Shakespeare and Meisnor Technique
- Lecturer at Uxbridge College since 2015
- Trained at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Rob has acted and directed professionally for over 30 years. He has performed with many companies, highlights include: Mappa Mundi, BBC, ITV, Sherman Theatre, Hijinx. Training the next generation of actors has been a passion and with Praxis has become a wonderful reality. -
Chrissie Viney - Choreographer and Dance Lead
- Specialism - Contemporary Dance
- Lecturer at Uxbridge College since 2015
- Trained at the Royal Academy of Dance, Chrissie focuses on developing her students, replicating industry standards.
Her Choreography provokes audiences and challenges the dancers to reach levels they thought were unattainable. -
Rachel Morgan - Music Lecturer and Vocal Tutor
- Specialism - Contemporary Vocalist
- Lecturer at Uxbridge College since 2021
- Rachel started her training as a student at PRAXIS before winning a Scholarship on the BA (Hons) Music Industry Practice Course, at the Academy of Contemporary Music.
Rachel is a freelance songwriter, vocal arranger, performer and artist. She imparts her passion for singing, songwriting and performing to inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Our industry standard facilities offer our students a professional experience.

Praxis Theatre
Our contemporary theatre is the perfect place to learn how to perform on stage. Equipped with state of the art lighting and sound equipment, our theatre offers a flexible, intimate space for our performers to grow.

Music Studios
Our two music studios are acoustically treated and designed to an industry level specification. Additionally, we have two mixing rooms and a number of rehearsal spaces.

Dance Studios
Our dance studios are specified to industry standards providing a sprung floor and a large mirrored space to work in.

A Professional Setting
To add to the above we have two Mac labs, additional rehearsal spaces, a box office, dressing rooms and a learning resource center - all in order to give our students experiences and knowledge pertinent to our industry.
