Foundation Learning & Skills for Life

The course is made up of the following three strands:

  • Portfolio Work - Gateway Certificate in Skills for Creative Industries (E3)
  • Functional Skills Maths and English – all levels
  • Work Placement
  • EPR.

    Learners will have the opportunity to:
  • Work towards improving their English and Maths at levels appropriate to the individual learner
  • Undertake work placements.
  • Entry requirements

    No entry requirements are required but you must have an interest in the subject area you are applying for.

    You will have a College interview and if necessary references may be taken up. You may need to show a varied portfolio of creative work.

    Students will be expected to commit to the course and display good attendance and punctuality.

  • Who is the course for?

    This course is designed for those with or without an EHCP that would like to pursue a career in Performing Arts. This introduction to the industry is an exciting opportunity for those that would then progress to L1.

    There are a number of enrichment activities throughout the year including:

    • Working within the community
    • Sports activities
    • External trips.
