This course offers strong industry and education links, providing learners with authentic experiences of the professional dance and performing arts sector. The combination of practical training, performance opportunities, industry workshops and work experience helps students build confidence, employability skills and a professional portfolio, supporting progression to Level 4, university, dance colleges, drama schools or employment.
As part of this programme learners will have access to professional dance studios and specialist equipment, supporting technical training, choreography, rehearsal and live performance.
The course offers training across ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, commercial, lyrical, improvisation and choreography, alongside opportunities to develop production and professional skills.
Our tutors are industry professionals who bring current knowledge and experience into the classroom.
Learners benefit from extensive enrichment through guest teachers, West End performers, university and dance college practitioners, employers and our Praxis Theatre partners.
Workshops and masterclasses provide opportunities to experience different styles, approaches and professional expectations.
Students also gain valuable work experience in theatre environments, take part in competitions, theatre visits and external performances, and have opportunities to perform in commissioned work at professional events such as the West London Business Awards.
