This T-Level is equivalent to three A-Levels and provides students with the technical knowledge and specific skills required for their chosen career pathway.

The technical qualification is split into 2 component parts:

Year 1 (core component): includes learning about the healthcare sector, health and safety, person centered care, infection control, core science concepts, further science concepts in health and clinical practice, core examinations and an employer set project (ESP).
Year 2 includes the cccupational specialism and continued core assessment, alongside practical activities designed to support students in developing the skills and knowledge required for their chosen career progression.

Entry requirements
- Pass at least 6 GCSEs, including Grade 6 or above in English, Mathematics, and Science
- Candidates require a DBS check.
Who is the course for?

This qualification is suitable for students 16+ looking to develop both knowledge and practical skills in the health sector.

This technical qualification will support students into a range of progression routes including employment, higher education and higher apprenticeships.
Study methods

There is a mixture of lectures, discussions, group and partner work, practical demonstrations, role play and work experience.

You will be expected to undertake a significant amount of independent study outside of timetabled classes.

You will also attend 9 weeks (45 days) minimum working with an employer on an industry placement.
How is the course assessed?
Core component:
- 2 written examinations
- Employer-set project (ESP).
  
  In order to achieve a grade for the core component, students must have results for both sub-components (the core written examination and the employer-set project).
  
  Occupational Specialism:
- A case study assessment
- 2 practical assessments
- A professional discussion.

We are one of only 3 colleges in London involved in the NHS cadet programme, which provides unique opportunities for a select number of students, we also work with Sanctuary Care and Bentley Neighbourhood Resource Centre.

We offer a number of enrichment opportunities including an additional qualification in Young Health Champions program which empowers young people to take control of their health and make a positive impact on their peers and in their communities.

Vaccination Requirements:
All students undertaking placements must meet the vaccination requirements of placement providers. Placements may take place within hospital settings, district nursing teams, and other health-related organisations, in accordance with their individual policies.

Required vaccinations include:
- Hepatitis B (Hep B)
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR).
  
  Students must provide evidence that they have received both vaccinations. Where a student has not yet received one or both vaccinations, the College will arrange and fund the required vaccinations to ensure compliance with placement requirements.

  Students will also be able to work towards a Care Certificate - an additional programme offered by the College to further prepare students on the T-Level Therapy and Nursing pathways for employment and placements.
  
  This certificate is delivered and assessed by our College staff to the standards set by Health Education England, Skills for Care, and Skills for Health, ensuring it meets national benchmarks for knowledge and competency.
