Motor Vehicle Maintenance

This is a commercial course for adults aged 19 years or over. All candidates pay full fees and there is no funding or concessions.

This course is delivered on Wednesdays 18:00 – 21:00.
There will also be a practical assessment on one Saturday during the hours of 09:00 – 16:00.

Candidates must have first achieved the C&G 7290-02 Level 2 Award in Safe Maintenance of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles or equivalent qualification.

This qualification covers the competence and knowledge to safely carry out the removal and replacement of components in isolated high voltage systems in an electric vehicle. High voltage systems include the powertrain and ancillary systems. This qualification also ensures that candidates are aware of the effect that high voltage component technology has on other vehicle systems.

    As per our fees policy: ‘Fee refunds for commercial courses will not be awarded after two weeks before the scheduled start date of the course unless the College cancels the course.’ Certification is based upon the achievement of passing the course content and paying the fees in full.
