HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges), has been accredited to the matrix Standard, demonstrating the high quality of the Colleges’ Student Services and Apprenticeships & Skills provision to students and businesses.
Following a merger in 2023, HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) has rapidly evolved into a thriving educational hub with three colleges and a strong apprenticeship provision. The diverse and aspiring college group now serves nearly 15,000 learners across west and south London.
The matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG), either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.
Harrow and Uxbridge Colleges held matrix Standard accreditation prior to the merger with Richmond upon Thames College, and this accreditation of the HRUC group demonstrates the priority the group places on providing high quality support to students, apprentices and businesses.
Students when interviewed by the assessor commented: “there was help at every turn” and they “thought college support was brilliant”.
Roger Chapman, Head of the matrix Service for The Growth Company said: “This is a fantastic achievement for HRUC and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available. The matrix Standard is designed to benchmark organisations against best practice in these areas. With their accreditation success, HRUC is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.”
Commenting on the award, Dylan McTaggart, Group Principal and Deputy CEO for HRUC said: “At HRUC we aim to provide exceptional learning experiences and create opportunities and success for all. HRUC’s success is supported by our entire staff’s focus on best progression & best opportunity for students. This matrix assessment was supported by our hard-working Student Services and Apprenticeships & Skills teams who work tirelessly to support and respond to the needs of our students, apprentices and local businesses. It is fantastic to see this pride in our work, our students and our strong connections with businesses rewarded in this way.”
